Screen Free Week is April 30 - May 6, and Saskatchewan in motion wants all schools and classrooms to turn it off and move it! To help them, we are hosting the in motion Classroom Screen Time Challenge.
How it works
1. Contact Saskatchewan in motion by April 24th, 2012 to let us know you want to be part of the challenge.
- Send an email with your school name and address, teacher's name, class grade and number of students in the class
Once you register, in motion will send out a Physical Activity and Screen Time Log for each student in the class, a challenge information sheet and a Story Submission Form.
2. Have your students keep track of their physical activity and screen time during Screen Free Week between April 30 - May 6.
3. Complete the Story Submission Form with the physical activity your class did during the week, and the experiences that you and your students faced when trying to be physically active and reducing screen time. Stories must be received by end of day May 16, 2012.
- Send by email
- Fax to (306) 780-9466
- Mail to: #202 - 2050 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK S4P 2K5
All submitted stories will be entered in a random draw for $150 of classroom physical activity equipment from Sportfactor Inc.
The draw will be made May 18th, 2012 and the winner will be contacted via phone or email by May 21st, 2012.
*Help spread the word to any school in your community so they can sign up by using this information hand-out on the challenge.
