Provincial/territorial government strategies
- Delivery partners have developed and invested in Saskatchewan in motion, a provincial strategy aimed at increasing physical activity opportunities for children and youth. SK Supp.

Federal government strategies
- Low priority is given to physical activity as there is no ‘stand alone’ federal strategy. AHKC.
Provincial/territorial government investments
- From 2003-2009, the Community Initiative Fund has invested approximately $11 million in Saskatchewan in motion. SK Supp.
- Sport, recreation and culture funding from the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund has generally been on the increase since 2004. SK Supp.
Federal government investments
- Federal spending in real dollars is half the amount per capita that is was in 1986. AHKC
