Screen time documentary screening coming to town
We held a special screening of 'Screenagers: Growing Up In the Digital Age' with Melfort's Primary Health Care Team January 15 2020. We had a great conversation discussing balancing screen time, and the information gathered will be used by a provincial working group that is being established to review and to develop an action plan to support leaders, educators and parents across the province.
What we've been up to:
- Saskatchewan in motion met with residents January 14 2020 to talk about physical activity opportunities in Melfort and to share tools and resources such as posters, postcards and more! We also met with local recreation leaders January 16 2020 where we discussed the Community Action Process and developing a plan to increase physical activity for kids and families.
- We'll be holding a second screening in your community as a follow-up to Screenagers: Growing Up In the Digital Age. The sequel, Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience, will be showing at 7 p.m. February 5 2020 at Melfort Public Library. Join us afterward for a real-life group chat about balancing screen time! For more information, contact: Rita at 306-865-5644.
